About Us

Who we are

We're a friendly small-town church. We're focused on God's Word through worship, outreach, relationships, and discipleship. We love welcoming visitors up north. Some of us grew up in the church and others have moved here to work or rest.

What we do

On Sunday mornings, we gather for worship at 10am. We love diving deep into the Bible, eager to see what God reveals about the big story of redemption.

We're always asking how our stories fit into God's story. Many of us serve our community through organizations like Good Samaritan Family Services and Ebenezer Christian School.

How we got here

In 1901, a group of Dutch immigrant families formed Ellsworth Christian Reformed Church. We were located a few miles south of town until 1920, when we built our white church building on Main Street in Ellsworth. Our membership has ebbed and flowed over the years. Most recently, many members of Atwood Christian Reformed Church joined Ellsworth when their congregation closed its doors.

Where we're going

God is at work in the Ellsworth area, and we're always looking for ways to join in. We're hopeful for the future of God's church in Northern Michigan. To get a picture of where God is leading us, read more about what we believe and our mission and values.
